Fern Christian |
The Renaissance Art Gallery will host its second Encaustic Workshop
Sunday April 7, 2013
from 2-4 pm at the Renaissance Art Gallery.
Encaustic is
an ancient painting medium using bees wax and pigments. It is both highly
durable and impervious to moisture. Encaustic also known as hot wax painting,
involves using heated beeswax to which colored pigments are added.
Fern Christian will again be taking the lead, but other artists familar with encaustic will be there.
Everyone loved the experience |
We will be working with hot wax and will have some supplies and examples. You are welcome to
bring what you have.
Anyone interested in exploring this
medium should contact the gallery.
Last workshop we all have great fun and learned alot about the challenges of this medium.
