Carving Workshop Planned For The Renaissance Art Gallery



Carving For Fun And Profit ~
Or, How To Be A Real Cut-Up In The Gem World

Vince Jarrell, master gem carver, will be guest artist at a workshop for carving at The Renaissance Art Gallery. This workshop is free, yes free. This workshop is to introduce 3 dimensional art and design. It will be held Sunday, February 28, 2010 at The Renaissance Art Gallery from 2-4 pm. This workshop is open to any adult 18 years of age and older. Materials will be provided for this introduction to carving.

Mr. Jarrell is an experienced gem carver, having worked in ivory, stone, jade, opal, and many other exotic substances. He is well known in the California and Arizona for his carving of exotic stones and materials. Having lead many workshops and classes, he is experienced in guiding people new to sculpture through the process.

Gallery hours are:

Friday & Saturday 12-4 pm, Sunday 1-4 pm
Studio hours Monday 10-Noon, Wednesday 1:00-7:30 pm and Saturday 10-Noon
