New Walls

Tschantz
 New Artwork

We have new walls at the Renaissance Art Gallery. Well, not new physical walls, we did that last year, but new art on the walls. The artists of the Renaissance Art Gallery are in the process of changing out the artwork they have on display with new work. This is all a part of getting ready for our 13th Annual National Miniature Exhibition.

 Miniature Show

Work is being shipped in and received right now. Local artists will be able to bring in their work starting Friday October 18, 2013 at the gallery. Work will be accepted through Sunday October 20, 2013. We are all set up to take in enough work to cover the walls in the Kumkum Majumdar Hall. There will be new media this year, as well as the familiar ones of oils, watercolors and acrylics. Should be an exciting show.

Purchase Awards

Purchase awards are still available for the miniature show. Purchase awards are selected October 30, before the opening reception. Everyone can take advantage of this, and have first choice in selection of artwork. For more information, call Fern Christian at 304-453-3187.

Art-in-the-Park

On another note, The Renaissance Art Gallery will be closed this coming weekend, Oct 12 & 13th for Art in the Park, and outdoor art festival held in Ritter Park, Huntington, WV, just up the road from the Renaissance Art Gallery. We will hold studio hours as normal through out the coming week, and we will be open Friday October 11, 2013. Most of our artists will be at Ritter Park, so join us there.
