Rabert Fulks Art Talk And Demonstration

 
Class Acts: Earth, Wind, Fire Art Show. The show will be up until April 21, 2013. The opening was great.

The Renaissance Art Gallery is open on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday afternoons until 4:00pm. The Renaissance is located at 900 8th Street on the ground floor of the old Huntington High School building. On Saturday afternoon, March 23, Rabert Fulks will demonstrate his approach to oil painting. He will show everyone how he use cold wax in combination with poppy seed oil, and liquin impasto. Thumbnail sketches to a near finished painting.


 

Workshop schedule: 

Arrive a little before 1:00.
1:00 -- 1:30 set up.
The demonstration: 1:30 -- 3:30.
3:30 -- 4:00 clean up.

A. Introduction: Explanation of approach to painting, Thumbnail sketches to a near finished painting.
B. Demonstration: thumbnails
C. Demonstration: mixing mediums, poppy oil, wax, liquin impasto
D. Demonstration: first drawing phase, discussion, Q&A throughout
E. Demonstration: painting phase, discussion, Q&A throughout
